Description

The Raspberry PiCompute Module 4 Industrial IoT Module (20970 ) is an industrial expansion module based on the Raspberry Pi CM4 that features common interfaces such as Gigabit Ethernet, HDMI, USB, and GPIO, and allows you to connect additional 4G/5G/LoRa wireless communication modules via an M.2 or Mini-PCIe connector. There are also industrial interfaces/resources including RS485, CAN, and RTC. Combined with a housing designed for industrial DIN rail mounting, this module is the perfect choice for creating an IoT gateway, 4G/5G router, IoT data collection, or even a PLC device in an industrial automatic control system, and much more.

An additional communication module is required to enable 5G/4G/3G/2G cellular network or LoRa gateway function. It is recommended to use: SIM7600G-H-M.2, SIM8202G-M2, SIM8200EA-M2, SIM7600G-H-PCIE, SX1302 868M LoRaWAN Gateway

Interfaces.

The design provides a reserved space for the heat dissipation system. Radiator and cooling fan are NOT included in the module package.

The protective ABS plastic housing supports the ability to mount the module on a DIN rail, which provides easy installation and safer operation.

  15. Micro SD card slot with pre-recorded image (Lite version ONLY)
  16. Connector for connecting a cooling fan, allows you to adjust and measure the speed

  18. Real-time clock battery holder (supports CR1220 size batteries)
  19. M.2 VCC - for selecting a 3.3 V or 4.2 V power supply
  20. RTC interrupt configuration
    PI-RUN: CM4 will reboot on RTC interrupt
    GL-EN: Disable CM4 on RTC interrupt
    D17: D17 pin is triggered on RTC interrupt (default)
  21. IO-VREF selection. Set the CM4 logic IO level to 3.3 V (default) or 1.8 V.
  22. Select the FAN power supply (select 12 V (default) or 5 V for the fan drive).
  23. Configuration of system functions
    BT_DIS: Bluetooth disabled, ONLY for CM4 with antenna option
    WiFi_DIS: WiFi disabled, ONLY for CM4 with antenna option
    WP_DIS: Boot mode switch, used ONLY if NOT booting from eMMC or SD card
  24. RTC/FAN I2C bus selection
    SDA0/SCL0: I2C-10 is used in conjunction with CSI/DSI (default)
    GPIO3/2: I2C-1 is used in conjunction with the GPIO header
  25. Partial GPIO connector includes 1x I2C, 2x GPIO pins and power supply
