Arduino Mega 2560 is designed on the ATmega2560 microcontroller with a frequency of 16MHz. It has 54 digital inputs / outputs, 15 of which can operate in PWM mode, 16 analog inputs, 4 hardware serial UART ports for communication with a computer and other devices, a USB connector, an external power connector, an ICSP header and a Reset button. The board has a built-in ATmega16U2 USB serial port microcontroller at a frequency of 16 MHz. To start working with the Mega, it is enough to simply supply power from an AC/DC adapter or battery, or connect it to a computer using a USB cable. Mega 2560 is compatible with almost all expansion cards designed for Uno and Duemilanove.

The Mega 2560 is an improved version of the Arduino Mega.
