Overview.

The RPi Relay Board gives your Pi the ability to control high voltage/high current devices, easily turning ordinary household appliances into "smart" ones.

Features:

• Standard Raspberry Pi 40PIN GPIO expansion bus, supports Raspberry Pi series boards
• High quality relays, load up to 5A 250V AC or 5A 30V DC
• Optical galvanic isolation prevents interference from high-voltage circuit
• Built-in LEDs for relay status indication
• Relay control jumper allows for user-defined settings for the relay outputs other than the default settings.
• Comes with development resources, including examples in wiringPi, WebioPi, shell, python, and bcm2835 (see the link to developer resources in the description)

What is on the RPi Relay Board

1. Raspberry Pi GPIO interface: for connecting the Raspberry Pi
2. Relay screw terminals: for connecting target devices
3. Relays.
4. Optocoupler: PC817
5. relay indicator
   • LED is on: NC (normally closed) relay contacts are open, NO (normally open) relay contacts are closed.
   • LED is off: NC (normally closed) relay contacts are closed, NO (normally open) relay contacts are open.
6. Power-indicator of power supply.
7. Relay control jumper

• jumper shorted: default relay control, inputs/outputs are used based on the base code
• jumper open: custom relay control option - inputs / outputs are connected via jumper wires
