The Raspberry Pi Pico RTC Module Precision RTC Module HAT (19426 ) is a specially designed Raspberry Pi Pico expansion card with RTC (Real Time Clock) function. This expansion board is very useful for devices that need to know the exact time. The Raspberry Pi Pico RTC Module keeps the exact time and can keep it even when the main power is turned off when using a backup power supply (CR1220 battery), which will last for several years. Thanks to its multi-layer and stackable design, it is possible to connect several other boards or external sensors.

Unlike other RTC modules that use an external 32kHz quartz oscillator, which changes its frequency with temperature changes, leading to an error in time calculation, the Raspberry Pi Pico RTC Module Precision RTC is based on the DS3231 chip, which has a quartz oscillator and a temperature sensor that compensates for temperature changes, so the time is counted more accurately. The error is no more than ± 2 minutes per year.
