The Raspberry Pi 4 Model B single-board microcomputer is a new product in the popular Raspberry Pi series of microcomputers.
The board carries a lot of improvements: increased processor speed, improved multimedia module performance, increased amount and speed of RAM and updated network modules compared to the previous generation Raspberry PI3 Model B+, while maintaining the level of power consumption and compatibility of peripheral modules. For the end user, the Raspberry Pi 4 Model B provides the performance of entry-level desktop solutions on the X86 architecture.
The key features of this product are a new, high-performance 64-bit quad-core processor, support for two displays with a resolution of up to 4k via a pair of micro-HDMI ports, hardware video decoding in 4Kp60, from 1 to 4 x GB of RAM (depending on the selected model), dual-band wireless network at 2.4 and 5.0 GHz, Bluetooth 5.0, Gigabit Ethernet, two USB 3.0 ports and PoE (using a separate PoE HAT module).
The dual-channel wireless LAN and Bluetooth are modularly certified, allowing the board to be used in end products with greatly simplified standards compliance testing, improving both cost and time to market.
