Description

TheArduino MKR Vidor 4000 will allow you to implement projects with high performance and fast data processing thanks to the perfect combination of an ARM microcontroller and an FPGA chip. The MKR Vidor 4000 controller contains the following board resources: 8 MB of SDRAM RAM, 2 MB of QSPI flash memory, 1 MB of which is provided for the user, a Micro HDMI connector for connecting a monitor or TV, a MIPI connector for connecting a video camera and a powerful Wifi and BLE wireless connectivity interface provided by the U-BLOX NINA W10 module. The board also has an MKR interface, the pins of which are connected to the SAMD21 microcontroller and FPGA. In addition, there is a Mini PCI Express connector with 25 user-programmable pins.

The FPGA on the controller board contains 16K logic elements, 504 KB of built-in RAM, and 56 hardware multipliers of 18x18 bits for high-speed DSP computing. Each FPGA pin can operate at more than 150MHz and can be configured for functions such as UART, (Q)SPI, high frequency PWM, I2C interface, etc.

Main features:

  • Cortex-M0 32-bit SAMD21. A powerful processor with low power consumption, which is used in all MKR family boards.

  • u-blox NINA-W102. Provides Bluetooth and WiFi connectivity for MKR WiFi 1010.

  • ATECC508 cryptographic chip. The ECC508 cryptographic chip ensures the security and confidentiality of your data and can store up to 16 keys in an EEPROM array.

  • Intel® Cyclone® 10CL016. With a total of 16K logic elements, 504kb of built-in RAM, each of its pins can be customized at your discretion: I2C, SPI, UART, PWM and more.

  • Micro HDMI connector for connecting an external monitor to the board.

  • MIPI camera connector. Connect a camera and view the result on an external monitor or use it for QR recognition!

Warning.

  1. The microcontroller on this board operates at a voltage level of 3.3 V. When connecting sensors and actuators, care must be taken to ensure that this 3.3 V limit is never exceeded. Connecting higher voltage signals such as 5V, which is commonly used with other Arduino boards, will damage the board.
  2. Before use, you must remove the black conductive foam from the board pins. If you do not remove it, the board may not work properly.
